Privacy Policy
Lamaze Elegance (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates lamaze.co and our boutiques in Nairobi and Dubai. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you shop with us, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
When you browse, create an account, or place an order, we collect: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing addresses; order history and the pieces you save to a wishlist; payment details (processed directly by our payment providers — Stripe, Mpesa, and Flutterwave — we never see or store your full card number); and basic technical data like IP address and browser type for security and fraud prevention.
Why we collect it
- To take your order, take payment, and get your piece to you — including sharing your name, address, and phone number with our couriers (DHL Express, Sendy).
- To create and manage your account, including your wishlist and order history.
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and — only if you opt in — the Sunday letter and news of new editions.
- To personalise an engraving exactly as you asked for it.
- To meet our own legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep items in your bag and wishlist between visits, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser, though the bag and wishlist won’t remember your choices without them.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary with: our payment processors (Stripe, Mpesa, Flutterwave) to take payment; our couriers to deliver your order; and our website/email hosting providers to run the store. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as required by Kenyan tax law (currently seven years), and account data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time, subject to what we’re legally required to retain.
Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, and equivalent protections if you’re shopping from the EU/UK (GDPR) or elsewhere, you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Email hello@lamaze.co.ke and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) across the site and never store full payment card numbers ourselves. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

We’ll update this page if how we handle your data changes materially, and note the date below.
