The question we get asked most often at the boutique isn’t about price — it’s “will you make more of this one?” The honest answer is almost always no, and it’s worth explaining why.
Scarcity isn’t the point — consistency is
Every edition is set by the same two or three hands, using stones bought as a single matched batch. If we tried to restock six months later, the new stones would be from a different batch, the setter’s hand would have moved on to a different technique, and the “same” piece would quietly not be the same piece anymore. We’d rather say no than sell you a close copy of what you thought you were getting.
What happens instead
A sold-out design sometimes comes back later as the starting point for a completely new edition — a different stone, a different plating, a new number of pieces — credited back to where the idea began. It’s never a straight reprint.
